Unit Newsletters
Inside I&S: January - July 2023
Introducing the newly redesigned Inside I&S! The newsletter is now printed in a larger format (similar to The Whistle). With sustainability in mind, the newsletter features the same amount of content but is printed on less paper. Using soy-based ink, the printed copies are now compostable. The first half of 2023 was a big year for I&S - more than 100 new employees, numerous awards for campus projects and individuals, coverage of our talented staff in the Daily Digest, our growing commitment to sustainability throughout all aspects of campus, and the exciting projects lined up for the future.
Inside I&S: Sept. - Dec. 2022
The final quarter of 2022 culminated in the strategizing for three important initiatives for I&S and the Institute. The Comprehensive Campus Plan, the Sustainability Next Plan, and the I&S Strategic Plan. The year ended with a family-style Thanksgiving potluck and the return of an in-person Holiday party with a special guest appearance by Buzz and the Grinch.
Inside I&S: Feb. - Apr. 2022
I&S prides itself on the service we provide to the campus community. Our team members interact with students, faculty, researchers, and fellow Georgia Tech employees on a daily basis. Whether hosting campus events such as Earth Day, fitting up new lab space for research, or designing and constructing new buildings our mission is to deliver an environment that is safe, sustainable, resilient and innovative for the entire campus community.
Inside I&S: July - Sept. 2021
Facilities Management is renamed Infrastructure and Sustainability to improve the alignment of Institute resources in order to accomplish Institute strategic goals and better serve the campus community. Capital Planning and Space Management joins the I&S unit in the collaborative management of the campus built environment.
