The City of Atlanta Department of Public Works continues to implement community improvement projects throughout the city. On September 23rd – October 25th, roadway maintenance activities will begin along the following areas: Mecaslin Street NW between 16th Street and Richards Street. Emergency NO PARKING signs will be placed along the project areas 72 hours prior to resurfacing. Please move your vehicle to an off-street parking area or a side street prior to the roadway maintenance activities otherwise it may be subject to being towed. (Georgia Code 44-1-13) __________________________________________________________________________________ Street resurfacing projects are typically scheduled for completion within 30 days pending weather or other unforeseen circumstances. The street resurfacing process involves several phases of milling, patching, final paving, resetting manhole/water valve structures, and striping if needed. The striping along with any additional asphalt work typically follows within 2 - 3 weeks after the final paving is completed. Construction may take place between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday - Friday unless otherwise posted/stated. Local traffic access will be maintained for the duration.
